Sources of honest and truthful news can be found at the English Al-Jazeera but only intermittently: their temporary site is vulnerable to attempts to crack it. More reliable are such frequently-updated sources as: Buzzflash, the admirable Alternet often first with a story, and truthout, which are all worth checking two or three times every day.
If those who now hide behind their embarrassingly juvenile nationalist flags were exposed to the awful horror of the atrocities committed by the invading and occupying forces in Iraq and read first hand material and information on such sites as Iraq Body Count and The World Messenger, wouldn't justified mass outrage be so loud and sustained as to stop these, and other threatened, attacks?
Both Electronic Iraq and Common Dreams as well as Information Clearing House and of course ZNET carry more analysis. The four radio stations of the Pacifica Network have continued to do outstanding work in both hard news and analysis; their streams are available on the web. Islam Online is an excellent source for the world of Islam.
